Uncle Robert

I don’t know if I ever

Properly thank you for all that you did

Helping me when I was young

Giving me guidance taking me to a man from a kid

You never once made me feel

That I was ever a burden

Always offering to give me a hand and sound advice

Especially when you know I was hurting

When I lost my home

And everything that meant something to me

You and Aunt Ruth gave me a place to stay

And help me climb out of my misery

So this is just my way to say thanks

For keeping me from becoming part of the crowd

You gave me more than I can ever repay you for

And I hope that I have made you proudthank you
