And the 4th of July went
Now less contemplate
How your energy was spent

Did you attend a bar b que
And say a toast with a friend
Did you watch a fireworks display
As the day came to an end

Did you say “Happy Independence Day”
Out loud for all to hear
Or did you stop yourself just short
Because at this moment there is no reason to cheer

I took just a moment
To send out a positive vibe
hoping to put a kink in the armour
